Collar of Hope

Olalla, WA

Collar of Hope is an all volunteer, animal rescue group, primarily dogs. We are a FOSTER HOME BASED RESCUE AND HAVE NO FACILITY TO VISIT. The only way to meet a animal without submitting our adoption application is when we attend adoption events with some of our available pets.. We are committed to helping homeless animals find their way into permanent loving homes as a valued member of the family. We do not discriminate in size, age or breeds; we just want to help nice adoptable cat & dogs as we can and believe they have the right for the chance at their own happy "tail"! We are not trainers, behaviorist or veterinarians. We provide all basic health care, grooming needs and a safe place for the animal until a good viable match for the animal comes along. All rescues will take some work, some more and some less depending on the age and background. 99% of our dogs come from shelters as strays so we have no history on them. We learn as much as we can about them while they're in our care in their foster home.

Our Vision Statement To provide community service in the areas of rescue and placement of stray cats or kittens, and provide low income spay and neuter. We are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to cats and kittens through education. Mary'€™s Meow Rescue

Kennewick, WA

Mary's Meow Rescue is the heart-mission of just two ol’ ladies whose soft spot is for defenseless, newborn kittens that still need bottle-feeding. We have been rescuing kittens for a combined 31 years, but we cannot do this without the support of our local community. We have a way for everyone to help in whatever way works for you. We welcome you to join us and support our efforts because every kitten matters ~ SHARE Let’s let people know who we are… PLEASE share our posts whenever you can and as often as you can! Our adoption fee is $150, and this will include the spay/neuter, first vaccinations, microchip, and rabies (if old enough at adoption). https://www.adoptapet.com/shelter193411-cats.html CURRENT DONATION NEEDS • Blankets (heated are also taken) • Formula • Toys • Food WANT TO FOSTER? We are currently seeking compassionate individuals to provide temporary foster homes for kittens in need. As you may know, neonatal kittens require round-the-clock care and attention, and without foster homes, they may not receive the specialized care they need to thrive. By fostering a kitten, you can make a significant difference in their lives, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment until they are old enough to be adopted into permanent homes. If you have the time, space, and love to spare, please consider becoming a foster parent to a kitten in need. Your kindness and generosity can help save lives and give these kittens the chance they deserve.

Out West Pet Rescue

Prosser, WA

Since our rescue started in August of 2005 , we have adopted out over 2,600 dogs to new and happy homes. WOW!! Our main problem is people in our area do not spay or neuter their animals. We have a lot of problems with families that get a puppy and then when they are about 1 year of age they want to get rid of it. Both of the humane societies in our area are too full so, now they are sending animals to us. We are extremely pleased to see that people are opening there hearts to our wonderful rescue. If you are interested in seeing our rescued pets, please visit our happy tails site to see how these dogs have been given a second chance. We are always looking for families who would like to help us foster these kids until they find their new homes. We are always getting feedback and pictures of our adopted pets with their new families which is shared with the fosters.

Saving Pets One at a Time

Burlington, WA

More About SPOT In the hopes of increasing the animal "adoption options" in Skagit County and beyond, a group of animal lovers got together in the Fall of 1999 and started a non profit alternative animal rescue and placement organization called Saving Pets One at a Time (SPOT). By increasing the options that people have, SPOT hopes that more companion animals will find loving and permanent homes. In addition, SPOT hopes to help reduce the number of homeless pets within Skagit County and beyond by insisting that all animals placed in their care are spayed or neutered. Each pet receives daily one-on-one care and attention while in foster care. We work on training and socialization skills to help each pet be the best they can be. Pets do not leave foster care until we feel they are emotionally and physically ready to be placed into a permanent home.

Second Chance Companions

Battle Ground, WA

We are an all-volunteer organization, started in 1993 dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area. We have a small number of foster homes that take in dogs/cats (and sometimes other small animals) and no central facility, but we also work as a referral service for private owners who are looking for homes for their pets (we do the screening for them and also provide education to try to encourage them to keep their pets, when possible). We have a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public to try to try to curb pet overpopulation. We also work with our local Meals on Wheels program to provide pet food to Meals on Wheels recipients, individuals in assisted living and senior facilities, and area food banks. When we have the funds, we also provide emergency medical assistance to individuals.
