Fales Road Feline Rescue
North Attleboro, MA
Our main goal is to rescue the ones that "fall through the cracks". We don't only take the easy cases, we do not discriminate and we only euthanize for extreme medical issues. All cats "deserve a second chance". Our main goal is to help. Help the cats, help the community and help other organizations. If we all work together imagine what we can accomplish. Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered and are up to date on all necessary vaccines. This is a home environment and cats are only caged prior to vaccination, when sick or if they require socialization.
Lucky Cats Rescue
Watertown, MA
Support: We aim to give support to other shelters and rescues for cats and kittens that need specialized or longer term care due to medical or behavioral needs. Providing relief and resources to aid their staff through our partnerships in multiple ways. We want to work with the great organizations that already exist around Massachusetts, New England, and beyond to strengthen our impact together. We additionally aim to provide temporary housing and loving care, medical aid, and safety with Emergency Foster Care, in partnering with local Domestic Violence Shelters for those Victims that are in transition and do not have an alternative place to bring their pet. Many domestic violence shelters are not able to accommodate pets and this is a huge factor in why many victims are unwilling to leave a violent relationship. We want to help make sure this is less of a worry, we are here to help protect and support these victims and their pets. Placement: Our adoption process has a focus on two goals. First, we take special care and consideration into why you would like to adopt one of our cats and how you feel you can best offer the care and love one would need due to each cats unique history. If you are a selfless human and have previous history with any sick, traumatized, senior or special needs cats or willingness to learn, please consider adopting through us and becoming an Emotional Support Human for a cat that needs you. Second, we want to look at the other side of the same coin. How can a cat or kitten help you? We all know the power of a catâs touch when we are feeling so sick, physically or mentally. They always âseem to knowâ, right? Cats and animals are not a cure in anyway, but the comfort, companionship, and joy one can bring through a bond with their cat in the darkest of times is undeniable. So if you are in need of a cat companion, please feel comfortable filling out our Emotional Support Cat Application, we are here to listen and help match you with a cat that is just right for you and your life. Protection: In the heartbreaking weeks and months following the passing of a loved one, often the pets are left with family or friends. Pets grieve too. Being with family is whatâs best for the pet as they are with familiar faces and can transition well in their new home without their human. In other cases, unfortunately, no one is able to take the cat(s) in or it becomes more work than they are able to handle in their time of grief. We want to be there for you and your loved one's cat(s). We understand what it's like and how hard it can be in times of transition. We will offer a safe and judgement free place for you. We take our time to find the best new home for your loved one's cat to be spoiled and happy or we will offer the cat a permanent Sanctuary placement with one of our amazing Forever Foster Homes. With the donations and sponsorships from our donors, our Forever Foster Homes will retain Lucky Cats Rescue's help and support to make sure the cat is loved and cherished for the rest of their life.
