Volunteer roles

• Adoption EventsWith the cats

  Help with adoptions at various locations; setting up, talking with potential adopters, TLC with cats/kittens, doing adoption paperwork, and cleanup/break down.

• Adoption Center Cleaning & TLCWith the cats

  Scooping litter boxes, filling food and water, general clean-up of the cages/room and TLC for the cats at local pet stores.

• Adoption Follow-up

  Checking with adopters by phone and/or email to ensure everything is running smoothly and answer any questions.

• Adoption ScreeningWith the cats

  Speaking to prospective adopters to verify if they are ready to adopt and to help match the correct cat/kitten to their home.

• Special Events

  Participate in animal friendly special events around the Metroplex to raise money and awareness for rescue animals and sell merchandise.

• Laundry

  Help with washing linens after adoption events or from store cages.

• PR/Marketing/Outreach, Social Media

  Social media posting and/or writing newsletters.

• Communications

  Checking/responding to phone line and email submissions and writing thank you notes to donors.

• Fundraising

  Fund-finding, grant-getting and special event organizing to help raise money for the cats.

• Animal Transportation, Rescue/RetrievalWith the cats

  Transporting cats to vet appointments, mobile adoptions, and foster homes as well as picking up adoptable animals from local animal control facilities/shelters.

• Donations

  Pick up and transport of donations (food, litter, etc) to a storage area or other designated locations.

• General Volunteer

  General needs or helping with volunteer coordination, internal communications, training, special recognition, events, or birthdays.

• Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)/Colony careWith the cats

  Helping to do TNR in feral colonies and helping to maintain these colonies by feeding/monitoring.

Mobile adoption events held weekly (usually on Saturday) and generally last 4 hours.
