Volunteer roles

  • Feral cat trapping (TNR)With the cats

    Humanely trap and neuter free-roaming cats before returning them to their original location.

  • Transporting CatsWith the cats

    Drive cats to spay/neuter clinics for standing weekly appointments.

  • PhotographyWith the cats

    Photograph cats for adoption listings and event documentation.

  • Administration

    Data entry, banking, bookkeeping, mailings, website updates, and newsletter articles.

  • Communications

    Social media, public relations, community outreach and education through posting photos, sharing stories, and answering questions.

  • Writing

    Contribute to grant applications, newsletter articles, and correspondence.

  • Creative

    Graphic design, artwork, and handmade items for events and fundraisers.

  • Fundraising

    Help plan and work at events, solicit donations, decorate, cook, serve food, act as cashiers, and identify and apply for grants.

Island Cat Resources and Adoption (ICRA) is a feline welfare nonprofit dedicated to homeless cats. Through our trap-neuter-return (TNR) and adoption programs, ICRA is reducing the number of free-roaming cats in Alameda and Oakland. There are many ways you can help!
